Producer Info: Planeta Winery is one of the premier wine estates of Sicily and a veritable fine wine empire. Founded in the 1990s by cousins Alessio, and Santi Planeta and their uncle Diego Planeta, who was already famous in Sicily for his trail-blazing role at the well-respected Settesoli wine cooperative.

Tasting note: Fresh and fruity, this Rosé represents all the feelings of a Sicilian summer. Its colour is that of a summer sunset. The fresh aromas of strawberry make it a marvellously friendly wine, and easy to drink.

Growing System: Spurred Cordon.

Soil Composition: Limestone and grey chalk.

Production: Destalked and sent to soft pressing for a brief maceration of 1-2 hours to achieve a perfect extraction of colour. Fermented at 15°C in stainless steel vats.
