Producer Info: The Umani Ronchi story is one of ancient vines, land and people. The story began more than half a century ago at Cupramontana, in the heart of Verdicchio Classico country. Today Umani Ronchi is the wine estate owned by the Bianchi-Bernetti family, who since 1957 have been making superb-quality craft wines, coaxing the best out of the Verdicchio and Montepulciano that find their finest expression in Marche and Abruzzo.

Tasting note:
Dark ruby red colour, delicate aromas of plum and morello cherry, with an undercurrent of red berry and just a hint of spice. Medium bodied and dry with a finely textured structure and ripe, plummy fruit nose.Â

Soil Composition: Clay, limestone
Production: Hand harvested in late September, the wine is then left to macerate for 10 days in stainless steel tanks. After fermentation this Montepulciano is left to mature for 4 months in steel vats before bottling.
